Before selecting a perfect one, try to answer the following questions first –

-How often do you ride?
-What is your route style?
-Is it a country road, mountain track, suburban streets, dirt paths, paved cycle paths or simply on grass?
-Do you prefer racing, commuting, long-distance touring, off-road exploring, recreation or everyday riding to your school or local areas?
-Do you like to add few extra tools like a baby seat, a kickstand, rack, pannier bag or something else?
-Is there any particular color or design that has an extra appeal to you?
And finally, how many bucks you can spend for your fixie?

After answering all of these questions, you may search the web to choose the best one for you. Besides suggesting you a particular model, I am going to inform you the process of choosing the best fixie bike for commuting. Let's start –

1.    Choosing the right size:

Size matters! One size doesn’t fit for all. Using the right size should be the first priority for every biker. Every bike frame has its own frame size. Different sizes are for the different persons. If you are tall enough, then you must select a tall bike. However, it is not so easy to detect a fixie bikes comfort ability just by seeing it online. Well, few bikers may oppose, but it doesn’t work most of the time. So, It will be better if you visit a local store to check your selected bike whether it fits you or not.

2. Frame Material:

While choosing the frame material, you do not have many options to choose. Carbon made steel, Aluminum or Hi-ten steel: these three materials are mostly available for the bikers. The Aluminum made bikes may get dented while you are in a hurry. I will suggest you choose the Hi-ten steel. It is comparatively cheap material and durable too. It is fine for the lockup rides too. A famous company, Reynolds, provides Hi-ten steel made bikes within a limited budget.

3.  Design and outlook:

Performance does not depend on the design. But at the end of the day, a gorgeous design may make you feel happy. So, if you have any personal design choice or love to see favorite color on your bike, go for it.

Last Words:
After so many years, fixie bikes are still owned their own appeals for most of the diehard bike lovers. So, if you want to choose one, just get one. However, try to use someone else's fixie before you buy your own. You may feel whether you are comfortable with it or not!
Happy riding!
