The project, located on the Main Line of Bryn Mawr, was created as a Mediterranean concept. The space use to be storage for gravel, sand and other bulk materials. The design was created as an extension from the original concept in center city that was also of our design. Our client wanted a space that was “handsome and timeless”. We were able to partner with the general contractor who built the original Restaurant and fast track the process and work on details that saved the project time and money. As the design of the space progressed, we focused on details such as walnut wood being paired with brass trim to create a more modern design. To contrast this we used hot rolled steel framing to give the space a more masculine feel.
