Typeface design inspired by the beauty of calligraphy
This series of Chinese typography is made from basic Chinese typography inspired by ancient calligraphy. I love how ancient Chinese created their “typography”. It requires not only proficient skills but also a calmness of the heart. To become proficient, calligraphy has to be practiced on a daily basis. The daily habit of practicing calligraphy is also a great starting point for creativity. By practicing calligraphy as a habit, I started discovering new insights about Chinese characters. It was my great delight to be able to extract Chinese calligraphy into my typeface design and be able to write meaningful words that relate to my life experiences.
