Re-establish a bridge between the old and the young in China
This is an Interactive Interface Design that explores the theme of survival and design in the near future. ‘Blessing +’ is a smart hardware product designed for elderly people such us my grandparents by the team I led. Chinese values embody the culture of Confucius. People’s definition of ‘family’ is inseparable from the traditional values such as ‘Honor to our parents’, and ‘Family Reunion’. However, the rapid economic, social and technological changes in China are slowly marginalizing the old. ‘Blessing +’ is a smart photo frame, showing the family's group photos. The project intends to re-establish a bridge between the old and the young. Through this new human-machine relationship for the elderly, it is expected to create a new and positive relationship among people.
