I enjoy Valentine's day and believe it's more than just a Hallmark day
to get a gift for your special someone. I like to include all my friends
in on this day just to show them how much I appreciate them. I do that by
creating my own set of cards, instead of going out and purchasing a pack.
I take this time to create something I want to create: fun, colorful, a bit
adventurous, trying some new things and being open to a bit of change.
My thought process in my sketch book
I really like to make mood boards for colors, ideas, inspiration, and visual aesthetic.
All the above images were found on the internet to draw from for inspiration.
I wanted to have an image on each card which would be a focal point. That image would be in black and white with the rest of the card bringing that the image to life. I chose to do this because I like the contrast of the image and the background. Each card is different with it's own colors and image making them simply unique but bringing them together as a group by keeping a similar tones.
