The Arbory is an existing dementia care home for the elderly. Planning to expand its premises, the proposal included associated landscape works.
Landscape strategy: 
- Provide a walking route, with flexibility to accommodate different circuits, and subtle boundaries.
- Incorporate existing activities such as food growing and a garden club.
- Use of seasonal interest garden elements that stimulate senses and perception of time.
- Best practice of inclusive design, health and safety.
- Ecology: The site had a presence of protected species (slow worm and dormice), and so ecological enhancement were also part for of the strategy.

Main duties: 
- Visit to site, assessment of existing conditions, needs, activities and plant material. 
- Research into dementia and sensory gardens. 
- Landscape Design layout (paths, areas, movement through space). 
- Soft Landscape Detailed Design, including plant schedules, Method Statement and Tree planting specifications.
- Collaborative work and liaison with Architect (Carless Adams) and other consultants such as Arboriculturist and Ecologist.
