Malte Peralte School. no toilets, nor water supply; people draw water from a nearby contaminated river.
At Malte Peralte School, a new pump water was installed (top left) and a rainwater harvest system designed and built providing safe water for drinking and handwashing (top right).

At Hinche, compost toilets (latrines) were designed and built, as well as washing facilities with a rainwater harvesting system,
The existing school was replaced by a rainforced concrete solid design, that will help withstand earthquakes.
Cross ventilation is important in hot-humid climates.
