Within my internship with Give Us Names, my biggest task was to construct a website that would help to communicate the political and economic issues in Colombia and what Give Us Names was doing to address these issues. One of the main concerns was how to communicate the complexity of the Colombian situation in a way that would target the lay person, the donor, and the political activist all at the same time. We decided the best way to do this would be through powerful typography, strong imagery, and a number of icons that would help to condense and encapsulate all of this complexity into one symbol. The following is the result of all those considerations. Unfortunately due to certain issues the site never went live, but I think it was an incredible learning experience nonetheless.
