Pancycle Channels — Album Artwork and Rollout

Darren Dyke composes ambient music under the name Pancycle. After designing art for his previous EPs, I was excited to work on his new conceptual full-length. Darren was inspired to create this collection of songs based on the Kabbalist tree of life. The figure has 10 nodes, representing 10 different human emotions, and connecting branches, representing human connection. By contrast, the music was created entirely using a software synthesizer called Hive. The juxtaposition of a concept so human being paired with purely digital music resonated with me. The artwork is a visual representation of these human emotions and connections, mixing geometric rigidity and simplicity with hand cut, tactile paper. The album's tagline was formed from these concepts: A musical exploration of human connection in a technological age.
The artist Facebook and Bandcamp pages both received updated skins to match the album release. A vast social media set was also created for use on a variety of platforms.
