New Jersey-based Rao Chalasani is a veteran of the New York, NY financial sphere and most recently served as chief technology officer and risk strategist for Merrill Lynch. Apart from his work in financial risk management, Rao Chalasani supports a number of charitable organizations, including UNICEF.
In January 2018, UNICEF announced the appointment of a new executive director who will oversee all aspects of the organization’s operations. After conferring with the organization’s board of directors, U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres named manufacturing industry veteran Henriette Fore to the post. She comes to the role having most recently served as board chair and CEO of Holsman International.
She also has a background in international aid work, having served in the U.S. State Department as its director of United States foreign assistance. In her comments, she expressed gratitude for being chosen for the role and said she will continue to lead UNICEF in its mission to help children worldwide receive the human rights to which they are entitled.
