SUB6XTY
Sub6xty (sub-sixty) is a DJ collaborative group that consists of three DJs. The music genre they play is urban and perform at events around the UK.
The team needed a brand identity that represented them as a collective and spoke 'urban', but with refinement.
I decided to use three sub speakers, stripped away from the casing, facing different angles to represent the 3 DJs, who each have different DJing styles which comes together to create Sub6xty. I went for a heavy typeface so that the logo stands out and almost shouts at you, which represents the loudness of live music.
