The Dartmouth Climbing Team is a new competitive climbing club that began in 2016, and I was tasked with creating a logo for the team. We decided that something "sharp" and "blocky" would evoke the strength and bouldering aspects of the team, and we wanted to incorporate the Dartmouth green color as well as various grays on a black background.

Below are some initial rough sketches as I brainstormed ideas.

Eventually I came up with silhouette climber atop a blocky Baker Berry tower that symbolizes an indoor bouldering wall. For stickers and t-shirt designs, I used the same climber attached to a climbing shoe as well as the original logo in the center of exploding "rocks".
