Mexican Food Truck

MexiFest Food Truck idea

I was given a brief, I was allowed to create my own project with the Southbank, London theme in mind.
I wanted to create my own mobile canteen, a food truck, create the livery design, the logo, the packaging, the menu design and the uniform. I was inspired by the ones which were currently at the Southbank already. So I wanted to create my own for my project. I had the idea of creating a Mexican inspired mobile canteen, I wanted to incorporate the bold atmosphere, the bright colours and focus on the floral element. For the design to be loud, colourful and striking from a distance at the Southbank.
The reason why I wanted to base my project on a food truck because, the mobile canteen industry is rising. They have come along way from selling fish and chips, they have changed greatly from cupcakes to gourmet sandwiches. I wanted to be apart of this. At the Southbank, there is a diverse range of cultures and ethnicities and I thought a Mexican food truck would well in that environment.

The visual identity.
The food truck livery design
Here I have created the packaging wrapper design, beside this I have created the staff uniform.
I have displayed the process of the van livery, from the thumbnail designs to scamps. on the left is the final digital livery design.
This is my work showcased at the end of year show at my college, displaying all of my outcomes. On the right I have displayed the menu design.
The final food truck design applied to the Southbank, with the menu stands. Complete with a seating area.
