TOCA SMOOCH + TOCA SPLASH

OVERVIEW

Working alongside children’s media veteran, J Milligan, we developed two app concepts based on existing Toca Boca properties. In Toca Smooch and Toca Splash, I lead the charge on illustration and look development of the concepts, from logo design and storytelling to proposed gameplay.

PROCESS

I started the process by first understanding what it was J had in mind, then playing several of Toca Boca's apps, which I already had familiarity with. For this pitch, we made sure as to respect the Toca Boca design sensibility, but wanted to take it up a notch by embellishing the details and characters a bit, as to sell the concept of each proposed apps.

DIGITAL

Although the apps were not greenlit, the experience was a blast, giving me the opportunity to work alongside an industry creative I greatly respect, and to also design for the awesome Toca Boca brand.
