UNIVERSAL KIDS
THE NOISE
OVERVIEW
After the 09/09/2017 rebrand of Sprout to Universal Kids, the brand was moving quick to output new shows. In a move to create a live-action game show with a connecting digital thread, the company launched The Noise: a kids game show (and accompanying app) that challenges contestants to do a number of everyday activities...in total silence! As one can imagine, this proves to be a challenge, especially when you're surrounded by a studio audience and giant 'NOISE-O-METER' behind you. For my role in this project, I served as an art director and designer, working closely with the creative director and development team to ideate a number of design directions that tapped into the themes of the show.
PROCESS
Despite the number of design directions presented, I wanted each of them to be clean, modern and bold. I researched UX design and the design sensibility seen in popular apps, utilizing clean type treatments and often, bold colors or gradients.

The many design ideations helped to inform the final look of the show, which informed the show branding on all platforms.
