Promotional poster for Deviltree's short film "The Well." We had the general idea right out of the gate (the Solider with the titular well) but it took some sketching to find the right combination of tone and visuals.

The typography is modified version of the title card in the short.

Christian, the writer and director, mentioned a specific shot of the Soldier feeling humble and it pulled the whole thing together instantly.
