Event branding and poster for the University of Maryland's 2018 Graphic Design Capstone Show. The font is the beautiful and bold Tofino from Lost Type Co-Op. Their license provided an opportunity to show students what can be done with fonts available for educational and personal use.
This was only the second year for the Capstone Show, so we applied a bit of branding to it: GDCS. Using it's acronym will give the staff and the department a consistent name year after year so that we can build equity. The visuals will change, however, to match the spirit of the cohort.
