Why did you choose this “topic?” Why did it interest you?

I really like the way the ink floats in the air. It's surreal.

Describe your creative process.

I had a tank of water and two phone flashlights pointing in on either sides. Then I dropped ink into the water.

What do you like about your photos?

I like the spirit-like qualities they possess.

What do you dislike? What do you need to improve?

It was hard keeping the tank clean and constantly refilling the water.

What problems did you encounter? How did you overcome them?

Sometimes the water got too foggy, or dust would get in. The flower kept trying to float so I had to use a rock to sink.
