How did you achieve a silhouette?
i metered against the sky first, so that the colors of the sunrise would be more prominent and the colors of the foreground would darken to a black.

I like the way the tree is placed and the colors of the sky.

I think I made the sky maybe a bit too blue.

The metering want working for a while but I figured it out.

My dog is black so it was easier to get that silhouette look against the sky.

I really don't like that little wall in the background. There was glass as well but I photoshoped it out.

My dog would not stand still no matter what I tried. I had treats to try to get him where I wanted, but as soon as I got down on the ground to take the angled shot GE would come running over.

I love the colors of the sky and the California feel of the palm trees if not partly because of their placement.

I think taking it from a lower vantage point would have made for a better photo.

The sun was rising quickly, so getting these colors where dependent on getting the picture at the right moment.

I really like the rustic feel and the way the glass glows and cuts through the silhouette of the mountains in the background.

I wish parts of the image were brighter to better enhance the image.

There was a glare that kept reflecting off the glass until I changed my perspective by going straight up against the wall.

I kept getting a glare because the tree would move in the wind.
