CJC Design's profile

Nike World Track & Field Hospitality Environment

Dedication to the detail. Through a creative lens that focuses more on lifestyle than performance. The design of the 500 pax space at Tobacco Dock in the East Docklands area of London delivers comfort and dynamic build with an attention to deliver a first class hospitality programme. Connecting and bringing to life the creative underbelly, energy and spirit of the city in exciting ways. The use of architecture and materials is refined into a tool kit that deploys the core colour palette in a carefully crafted suite of textures, materials and finishes. The aim being to incorporate the subtleties that can be achieved with the overlay of brand, structure and materials to unify the event identity, create tactile definition and work cohesively with the industrial qualities of the venue.

Nike QTR – The overarching identity of the space was developed around the fusing of the energy of the athlete with the energy of London. Using geometric points within the body to build movement and energy. Great cities are also built on energy, energy from its people and the culture it breaths. Personalities make people, collectives make teams, and design creates spaces that create destinations. Streets make towns, towns make boroughs – Quarters make Cities.
