Maltese Publishing House Branding

Dynamic Identity for Sixtyfour Publishing Ltd.
Sixtyfour Publishing Ltd is a fictitious Maltese book publishing company that publishes books about anything related to Malta.
The name refers to the year 1964, which is the year in which Malta gained its independence after many years of being dominated by others.  The name was chosen because although Malta's culture and aesthetics are a mixture of all the cultures in its history, the country and its culture are still unique and independent.
The different periods of domination of the Maltese Islands have been translated visually into the logo through the use of different styles and layers. The overall visual identity is based on traditional Maltese decorative styles, such as Maltese tiles and Maltese pin striping known as Tberfil.
