Digital 2D: Culminating Work

Here is my final project. It has taken very long to do, but it was worth the wait. It looks stunning to my eyes and I am glad to have it turn out the way this it did. I do wish some things had gone a bit differently, such as having the plotter draw a more brighter color to be able to see it. Another thing I probably would have done different would be to see what would happen if I could get a different texture and make it more fluid with the rest of the project and make that into a center piece or something. I have learned a lot from this project, and I hope to carry on this work through different classes and expand on them.
More sides of the Final Project to get a different view upon it.
The one on the right side is the War, and the left is the Peace. These are the finished portions of the layouts, before it ran to the plotter. After completing this far, I was really excited to see what it would look like after I cut out the portions and layout the draw.
The Plotter Cut was a very difficult thing to do. It mainly had to deal with the cutting stage itself, because it needed to be a proper format. After completing these cuts, I was very proud of what it looked like afterwards.
The lines that are above were from the Plotter Draw and I used it in my final project. I did not like the fact that they were very difficult to see when looking at the actual piece, but the way I used the brush to make these lines looked really cool.
Practicing the layout of shapes and patterns was probably the most fun I had when coming up with the project. I would say that it had to be the most fun because of the fact that it does not matter was the shapes are doing or what they look like; it was just experimentation for the project.
I did end up using these types of patterns for my final. Unfortunately the exact patterns were lost on the drive, but here are two very similar formats I used.
These were tests to see what I can use for my final project. I may not have used these exact pictures for my final project, but it did help me gain a lot more variety on what I can possible come up with for the final.
These were the two textures I had used for my War and Peace theme that was assigned. The Doily on the left was used for the peace side, and the worn out polishing pad was used for the War side. And Yes the picture on the left was a screen shot of it on a computer, and I used the exact picture that lies in front of you.
