A Scottish real estate company launched that competition to build a residential compound/ resort in Zanzibar.

In designing this villa, we wanted to create a modern yet authentic unique piece of architecture with an African spirit, creating the main mass we intended on a long width for a maximum view of the sea .A green roof is implemented to create a family space for barbecues and open air parties with a better sea view from above the villa.

The whole resort is designed descending towards the sea, to provide full view for all of the units.

The material palette of the project is minimal modern along with using the African brick screen, emphasizing modern design through bright bold materials; glass, concrete and white finishes reflecting the natural colors and beauty of the surrounding environment.
