Monks of Conyers
The Cistercian monks of Conyers, Georgia arrived in 1944 to establish a Monastery where the rule of Saint Benedict would be lived out by men in community. Work and prayer is the foundation. Beginning their day with communal prayer at 4 AM the brothers live out a rythym of liturgy, solitude, sacred reading,work and brotherhood. Comtemplative prayer and Lectio Divina are two treasures many lay people of all faiths come to the Monastery to learn from those who live it daily.
