Engange!
A table top UI for conferences.
Engage! was developed as a Tangible installation which can be implemented in academic conferences. Tangible interfaces provide a new dimension interactions wherein the user can manipulate the digital information through physical, real-world interaction. The goal of this project was to provide a medium for ice-breaking conversations at conferences among un-met attendees.
Engage! system uses unique RFIDs to store user information such as name, contact and interests and allows the user to express an intent to interact with another researcher, who is then notified.
A working prototype of Engage was created which uses fiducial embedded token to interact with the system which was built on Processing.
