Emotions Engineering Assignment : Emotional Advert
This emotional advert assignment is divided into two parts:

Part One: Planning and Filming the Emotional Advert
We are asked to select a social issue in Brunei which lacks in awareness towards the public and to produce an advert that is able to connect with the audience on an emotional level. The advert last for 30 seconds with no dialogue included.

Part Two: Analysis of the Emotional Advert
This part will explain more about the:
1) The background of the social issue and its occurrence in Brunei. 
2) Problems of the current social awareness campaign. 
3) Discussion on the advert produced in terms of its storyline, film semiotics, cinematography and emotional responses, supported with relevant theories. 
4) Analysis on the feedbacks from the audience (minimum of 25 respondents).
Hoax Messages
The topic chosen for this assignment is hoax messages. A hoax message is a false information created and distributed to trick recipients to pass the same note onto the other users, forming a chain of forwarded messages. It is often shared through social media such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and messaging services such as WhatsApp, Emails and SMS.

The storyline begins with an unknown person who send a hoax message to the protagonist. The protagonist receives the message and proceed to share it to her other contacts without thinking. One of the recipient in the group decided to research and verify the message. Once she found out it was a hoax, a verified message which says it is a false information is sent back to the group which leaves the protagonist to feel surprised and guilty for sharing a hoax message in the beginning.

The platform used to share the hoax message in this advert is through WhatsApp application as it has the highest votes in the survey conducted.
