Initial concept aimed to have a logo design for my original lifestyle brand Aloha Driven that could be read as "AD" when viewed from any side.
The following still shots show the progression of the pencil drawing done before inking and filling in with Sharpies. Sorry for the poor quality - I took quick shots with my phone instead of scanning.
This portion is the result of an afternoon of work. I'm unsure of the total time it took to complete this much since I didn't log my times.
After a several hours of brainstorming and drawing, a few hours of recording and inking, and a couple hours of video edits and rendering, here's my first attempt at capturing my artwork in progress through video. Enjoy!
I used the built-in FaceTime HD camera on my MacBook Pro to record this and edited the video using iMovie. (Maybe one day I'll be able to upgrade to some better hardware and software. :)
I ended up speeding up the video to 2000% faster than its original speed because it's basically comprised of some 3 odd hours worth of footage. I managed to cram all of that into just shy of 10 minutes without removing any clips. Nevertheless, I'm quite pleased with the outcome though.
Here's a quick "Final" version taken with my phone. I'll have to scan it at some point for a cleaner copy, and am considering selling prints down the road.
