What began as simple portrait sessions has expanded to multiple days and locations in and around San Diego. I love working with Electra because they encourage a loose, vibrant atmosphere that lets the talent feel comfortable and authentic in front of my camera. The following images were shot in a single day in the Hard Rock Hotel and around downtown San Diego. (I highly recommend Craft & Commerce in Little Italy for post-shoot dinner and drinks.)
This is day two: we moved from the beach to the urban environment. The assignment was to create memorable, irreverent portraits and lifestyle images that embody the brand's fun attitude. Day two brings a new set of non-pro talent from around the country and our neighbors to the north. We started at San Diego Hard Rock Hotel. While the crew gets set, Everyone introduces themselves and I lay out the ground rules: " There are no rules! Nothing is judged or out of the question. Let's have fun."
By the end of the day everyone is exhausted, but we are all friends now, having played hard and worked hard.
