Fuse - Festival Branding

Fuse Festival

Fuse was crafted as a fictional festival with the aim of bridging the gap between local craftsman and designers in Sri Lanka to bring forth a collaborative exploration of creativity. The festival was designed so as to experience both platforms through merged design knowledge, craftsmanship and engagement in contemporary plus traditional aspects of design.

Trilingual Logo

The logo itself is considered to be a wordmark. It represents the collaboration of the two main categories of creativity involved in this festive experience. In addition, the basic patterns derived from the type of craft was inspired by the four touring destinations around Sri Lanka. The subtle movement of the letters, was designed to bring out the brand values of an exploratory, interactive experience.

As the festival encourages multiculturalism, the logo will be expanded to Sinhala and Tamil language.
Visual Style

The brand explores its possibilities of bringing out the ambience of the festival through traditional and contemporary design. By using a ‘mix and match’ of styles four distinct patterns were developed and the
number patterns as a result would be limitless where the audience will be encouraged to go beyond the
limits of creativity.
