Kythe Week 2017: Kytheventure

Kythe-Ateneo is a university organization that has always been about standing together with and for children with chronic illnesses. The organization's volunteer students have weekly visits to hospitals where they spend time with the children to provide a kind of healing that comes from being together with others.

Kythe Week is an annual event held by the organization to raise awareness and knowledge about its advocacy, and to hold a fun day-long event for children with chronic illnesses at the end of the week.

As a member of this organization from 2013-2017, I took on the task of being Promotions Head for Kythe Week 2017. I was in charge of the branding direction for this year's event, as well as directing a group of designers to meet the design needs of the event and other committees by providing posters, shirt designs, activity booklets, profile picture templates, and more.

The Moodboard

The Logo

The theme for Kythe Week this year was adventure. Kythe-Ateneo in general has a very candy color palette with a focus on teal, blue, pink, and yellow. In the beginning we aimed for a more fantastical adventure vibe by focusing on the pinks and teals, but the end result widened the scope to projecting a sunny, fun, adventure, incorporating plenty of the blue and nature themes.

Application
The Kytheventure Passport was a travel-inspired activity booklet for the children
that I designed and illustrated for use at the event.
