There is a place in Ljubljana, capital of Slovenia, almost in the center of city which is like an islet of past. There are water barriers on the river Ljubljanica, built in 1939 by Slovenian architect Jože Plečnik. His style was inspired by the beauty of Greek architecture. Traffic is all around, but this small place remains peacefull, because nobody passes. It gives you the feeling, that time stopped there.
There are many of such beautiful forgotten places, probably in every city, which are ignored by the people just because they are out of modern way of living. They are non-functional. They lead nowhere. They just are.
