Desert Reflection with Forest Adaptation is an art installation proposal for an area in Palm Springs that is based off the findings in Intimacy & Patterns. The installation features the act of discovery, where viewers draw connections from their desert surroundings to a pattern found in a Finland forest.

The Palm Springs site was chosen for this installation due to the surrounding desert landscape. The juxtaposition between the lush greenery of Finland to the barren desert of Palm Springs almost makes finding a pattern that can connect the two impossible. However, while looking at the shadows of the rocks and brush a connection was made to a pattern.

The proposal included a book with the findings from Intimacy & Patterns, renderings of the installation and a physical model of the installation in the site.
