Logo and brand identity
SLAM wants to give new life to old, forgotten illustrations hidden in various archives around Sweden. By applying the illustrations to everyday home products, they want to make these cultural treasures available to everyone. The owners of SLAM wanted the visual identity to show the passion and beauty of the illustrations. Due to the company’s small size and limited budget, they needed a identity that could be printed in small numbers.

THE IDENTITY
The idea for the brand identity is to combine the products visual imagery with design influences from old archive cards, vintage cover sheets and 19:th century typographic print samples. The identity consists a primary logo, a favicon, a secondary logo stamp, 4 selected illustrations, 3 typefaces, 3 primary colors and 3 patterns. In the first round of collaterals we designed a letterhead, envelope, business cards, a tag, a product catalogue and a price list.
