SaaS CRM/Project Management Tool for Manufacturing - UX/UI Concept
Fairwater for right now is just a concept. It could become a reality one day but I'm not 100% sure it will. It's essentially a business tool, similar to that of Asana or JIRA or Basecamp for design/dev shops, that would allow manufacturing companies to manage their customers and their projects/jobs better. We were going for top of the line UX/UI with some super intuitive tools packed into it...
Coming up with some sales tools like sales trends was somewhat difficult because the data and the way it's coming to us is not in a way that you can easily adapt into great data visualization. To me data is nothing without the ability to comprehend it...and visualization is critical to that.
From a UI perspective we wanted it to be really 'easy-on-the-eyes' - this is a tool that people will spend a majority of their day within so it couldn't be cumbersome, it couldn't be gray/bland, and it couldn't be slow either. We used a flat/minimalistic design system that subtly integrated drop shadows and supporting iconography to add emphasis to key features or commonly used tools.
The screen above was probably our most ambitious/successful attempt at creating a really effective project-management tool. We were trying to make this tool so intuitive and powerful for a customer service representative or sales person to use. This industry deals with a lot of manual communication in terms of project management to the customer and Fairwater had the potential to eliminate a majority of that and really act as a window to information for both customers and the internal employees.
