is a tribute to a deceased typographer
who still lives in their works.

This is my homage to William Caslon,
printer, gunsmith and typographer.
His typefaces transformed English type design
and first established an English national typographic style.

The selected letter was the upercase "C" in Caslon typography, simulating a gun.
It is built by the union of two parts: metal and wood.
The "box" is a cream leather case, with a laser engraved phrase summing up his life and passions.
The paper label is designed as a gunsight, shown the specimen.

The work was supervised by Gerard Miró and Jandro Martínez from LOSIENTO Studio for BAU, Design College of Barcelona, to explore the possibilities of Experimental Packaging.
