George Street Playhouse’s Gabi Goes Green! Production

Among George Street Playhouse’s many productions is Gabi Goes Green! A musical that examines the ramifications of personal choices on the environment, Gabi Goes Green! explores current issues such as rising sea levels, melting glaciers, and sweeping droughts.

The musical follows the story of Gabi, a 14-year old girl who becomes Green Hero after Hurricane Sandy devastates her community and destroys her home. With her knowledge of sustainable living and environmentally friendly choices, Gabi stands up to Captain Carbon to show how the actions of one person can make a difference. Appropriate for children in grades three to eight, Gabi Goes Green! is a 70-minute production that includes a discussion period focused on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) topics.
