WAC Athletics History Art Installation
This was a sixth month project from start to finish. The initial idea was to put up new images like ones seen in before photos but also extend them into end of hallway outside of Hagerty's Sports Bar inside the WAC. Upon research, I discovered a whole archive room full of historical photos that I thought should be made visible. After Showing my concepts to the F&B VP and the WAC CEO, my vision was green-lit and brought to life.
First steps were retrieving all relevant photos from archives and determining how best to display them. As an athletic club I liked the idea of grouping different sports images together. Original photos were then sent to digital imaging company for scanning and reproduced prints. Frames were selected and kept within budget. Info panels were designed and produced by a local sign maker. All prints were framed by me in house and hung in a collaborative effort with the WAC in-house carpenter.
