Background

Built Nutrition is a new supplement company thats primary focus is customizable preworkout that allows customers to build-your-own product. Feeling that people that look to start buying supplements rely too much on what companies tell them instead of learning and applying their own knowledge and allow educated supplement buyers make the product that is perfect for them. By combining customers desires and preferences with a companies science backed ingredients raises the bar for supplements and customer education.


The Branding Objectives
 
I was contacted to create a new brand identity for the company that was modern and carried a message of what the company values itself on. The logo had to have multiple lockups that could easily be applied to various media formats and be printed on different products such as packaging and labels, shaker cups, apparel, etc.


The Logo: Idea

The logo went through many different looks throughout the concepts phase of the project but I wanted to keep the same core aspects and values of the company present in each logo we tried. These core components are the letter B to represent the company name, a shape to symbolise the product, Hexagons are used in diagrams to show molecules and was chosen to represent the science backed ingredients of the product. The "product" being split into two sections represents one side of the product being the companies ingredients and production, while the second side represents the customers input and customization of the product to fit their needs. When both of these sections are put together it completes the shape and therefore completes the product.
