Brief:
A monograph is a specialist work of writing on a single subject or an aspect of a subject. Choose a product designer, architect or fashion designer whose work you admire.

Concept:
Christian Louboutin is one of the most famous shoe designers for both men and women, being inspired by he's shoe creations since an early age I decided to focus on how Louboutin makes the shoes, how he has grown throughout he's career and why he's shoes are so iconic.

I designed a vector image with the red sole being the highlight of the cover to the monograph as the red sole is what Louboutin is known for.

Use of an 125gsm silver paper for the front cover against an 130gsm, White glass paper for the main monograph pages to give the impression of a magazine or photographic catalogue. I staple bound the monograph to give the most simplistic, clean look.

All images used throughout the editorial were taken by myself at Selfridges in London.

Adding small inserts into the monograph to let the audience read about how the red sole was born, how Louboutin started he's career and some of his biggest clients.
Combining a gate fold into the monograph made the audience more intrigued to read the interview someone has had with Christian Louboutin about he's famous footwear.
