Light+Building, O/M Fair Stand

Exhibition & Signage
Light is usually added to a space, not the opposite. In O/M’s latest Light+Building show stand, however, light dictated the shape of the space to be built, with structural volumes constructed around the controlled luminous flux emanated by the company’s new luminaires. This inverse approach reveals the importance of light as a building material, especially when given absolute control through sophisticated optics and reflectors.

Precisely defined outlines of light and shadow play in its geometric spaces; intersections serve as entrances and passages, guiding visitors’ courses, while the stand’s outside intrigues passerby about its interior design. Product and technical information is sharply framed under each beam of light, avoiding the need for secondary light sources.
