The Long Lake Central School District was in need of a strong, sustainable, visual identity that pays homage to the past, reflects new programs in the school, and celebrates the beautiful landscape in which the school resides.
The goal is to weave together key symbols of the school and the community into one composite logo design that brings new relevance to each individual image.
A new whitetail buck was designed to honor the alumni and institution of the school (a previously used symbol) while the Long Lake Town Bears symbolize family and community and support the new character education program. To claim the beauty of the area as part of the school’s identity, the mountain range seen from the windows of the school was added to the visual language.
