In the northeastern part of the island of Bali there is a small fishing village called Amed. Also know for great diving, Amed has that feel of a more remote Bali, maybe closer to what the life would be on the south side of the island, before the big boom of tourism. Fisherman work day and night, while younger generations already work in some diving centers and spend their free time playing the number one national sport: Badminton.
