Ecodynamics: Aerodynamics for sustainability
For the eighth edition of Master TAD, the design theme assigned by Volkswagen Group designers was "Eco-dynamic Cars" with a focus on the Audi Italia brand. This is a particularly interesting topic given the increasing importance of aerodynamics as a tool to support designers in creating cars in line with new anti-pollution standards. The challenge was to design new, even small and non-sports cars, able to lighten the air by saving energy. To achieve this, Master TAD has signed a partnership with Dallara Automobiles, a leader in the design and production of high performance and racing vehicles, which has supported students and teachers with project revisions focused on aerodynamics.
This is the project of a compact car for Audi I released with my fellows Dario Capraro and Ayhan Bekir Mehmed during the Master TAD VIII.
The overall exhibition includes a 1:4 printed exterior model of our concept, a 1:10 printed interior model, 2 paper boards with the concept development of both the exterior and the interior, the storyboard and the CMF proposals. There's also a loop video which shows a teaser of the concept and another one which exhibits the different functionality of the concept.
