Debris: Loot, Build, Brawl

Debris is a tabletop card game.

It's about two engineers acquiring and building robots to ransack each other to bankruptcy.

There are 120 cards, each of them with a unique art.

I worked on this game on my spare time for a year and a half. I did every aspect of it, from game design, graphic design to illustrations. Enjoy !
Processes & WIP will be in a separate, dedicated project, follow me to be updated when it's online !

1 - The Bots
(40 cards)
a - The companion bots
Players starts the game with one of these, they're sort of 'pets'.

b - The Broken bots
Players buy & rebuild these during the course of the game. Each model share a common back art, thus allowing for some nasty surprises during gameplay.
Breakdown by manufacturer's country.

Russia
Russian bots are heavily damage-oriented, and thus have a very aggressive look'n feel.
Japan
Japanese bot are mostly utility-oriented, allowing player to loot & steal cards easily.
Germany
The german-made bots are the sturdier of the lot, made to last and perform heavy-duty task, hence the more industrial, beefy look'n feel.
Canada
The Canadian bots are more aimed toward countering opponent's traps & deceiptions, and as such have less contrasted, more well-rounded stats.
France
The french robots are the most toned-down models of the roster, with no particular perks.
2 - The Debris
(80 cards)
a - The Resources (x60)
Used for trading & rebuilding Bots.
b - The Mods (x10)
Attached to Bots in order to tweak their gameplay capabilities.

c - The Traps (x10)
Used to deceive players & destroy bots.

3 - Iconography & Extras
In order to reduce localization effort to a minimum and have more memorable visuals, all stats, perks & defects are iconified.
While the color also plays an important part in the design & comprehension, I played a lot with patterns & shapes to ensure a game as accessible as possible.
