Student project created during the course Identity in Projector — Kyiv-based school of design and development.

The main task I faced was to create a set of book covers which should be recognizable as well as unique. Moreover, this project was very important due to the low level of current Ukrainian textbook design.

I created dozens of ideas but the final one was based on the highly personalized concept with clear and simple typography. The text on the cover says: “Hi! I’m yours geometry (history, math, etc.) Come on, open up!” and it helps student to know that this book belongs exactly to him or her. Also the back cover says: “Stop!” and shows how many opportunities each subject has. I believe that using the same language students use helps to get in touch with them faster and more effective.
