Flix For Me Motion Graphics

NETFLIX Interactive stings
Streaming services are not the same experience as watching TV, there are no advertisement breaks, this design challenege was an exciting way to reinvent stings. Binge watching has become a large part of the Netflix culture.Thee motion graphics/stings design an option to binge a whole series. The ticker tape design is an interactive way to personalise the user's account without recommending the same shows constantly. The user could watch a show recommended to them in an instant, never get the recommendation again, or add it to their "watch later" list. Users often feel indecisive when it comes to watching Netflix. "Flix for me" would be a marketing strategy that randomizes what the user is watching, a convenient choice made for them. This is a motion graphic for a "Flix for me" with the filter "Netflix original".

UX Process:

After researching how Netflix streaming is used today compared to how it was used previously, and researching how Netflix recommend new content to the user. I designed an experience that would help the application keep recommended more personalised to the user.

During binge sessions Netflix asks the user if they want to continue watching, this new design will also recommend content similar to what they are watching for the user to watch. At the end of the movie or show the user is watching, they can rate what the have watched, and can watch instantly something recommended tailored to their taste. The rating option at the end is a trigger for the user to engage conveniently with Netflix without these instructions being too invasive.

This motion graphics project is hypothetical and is in no way associated with the Netflix brand. It is a project done as a part of my 3rd year degree in Multimedia Design at Greenside Design Center.
