A photography project that was heavily inspired by Chinese photographer, Ren Hang and Taiwanese photographer, Lin Yung Cheng, also known as 3cm.
The intention for these series of food photography was to spark conversations about the sexual ethics in women within a heavily censored society. The society has given women narrow perspectives, and often critiques on their sexual behaviour and interpersonal relationships. Contrast between the colourful food and the stripped-down dressing of the model creates a more impactful visual. This along with the fact that the model is lithe and listless, and that food was used as a provocative means to induces a sense of awkwardness for the viewers.
