This project was made in collaboration with Gul & Gratis, a Danish second-hand dealing platform, where people can sell their used stuff, while others buy it.

The objective was to identify untapped markets for Gul & Gratis to reach out to a new customer segment as both buyers or sellers.

My main contribution was in project management from research to concept development. I was also a major part in business development and target group analysis to identify business needs and a potential target segment. A huge part was qualitative interviews to understand deeper needs among the target groups.

With the identified business needs and target group segments, personas was created. These also helped to establish the value proposition between Gul & Gratis, and the target market to identify jobs, gains and pains for the target market, and to identify if Gul & Gratis could already relieve those.

Identifying the value propositions allowed us to understand, where we should focus the project to solve jobs, pains and gains that Gul & Gratis couldn't already.

In a review of all the data, and delving into concept development, the solution became three different paths of marketing activities, new payment options for mobile, and most excitingly, a Chatbot concept for Facebook (in Danish language). With this chatbot, Gul & Gratis could break through in a channel where the target market is available most of the time, and it could make it easier to process information through the app.

Below is screenshots of the concept and some of the possibilities it could bring:
