For this project I colaborated with three other students. We designed a handy and compact storage system you can put on the side of your bed; The BePo.
We noticed a lot of people still use classic bedside tables, which are very bulky and take up a lot of space. A new trend is te bedpockets, which are often cheap and of low quality. We wanted to design a bedside storage which combines the handiness of a bedside table and the compactness of a bedpocket.
With our innovative system, we succeeded in creating a bedside storage unit that combines a small table and storage room below it.
There is no shortage of originality and personality. There are five variants, wich each have a colorful and a grey side. With a simple clicking system, you can choose between a colorful BePo with gray on the inside, or a more neutral look with a colorful accent on the inside.
100% made in Belgium;
For this project we made a small series of 30 pieces to sell. Because ecology is very important to us, we decided to keep the whole production in Belgium. We also made sure the product wouldn't take up a wole lot of room. Folded up, the BePo is only 2,5 cm in height. These two small measures gave a big impact on the ecological footprint of the product.
Because of the small volume the product uses, a lot of them can be transported at the same time. The distance between us and our suppliers is also limited.

- Modular; you can choose between a colorful or more neutral look
- Washable; you can put the textile sleeve in the washing machine
- Compact; ideal for people who have a small bedroom, or who don't want to waste space on a bulky bedside table.
