Challenge
Promote Assassin's Creed new game instalment "Unity" via mobile and tablet ads.


Insight
Assassin's Creed, one of the most popular single player games of the decade is back with its 8th major instalment, Unity. The best way to promote it is to allow users to get a taste of the game experience.


Idea
This mobile ad uses a parallax effect triggered by the device’s accelerometer to give users a 3D game like controlled view of the surrounding environment. The user journey starts on the top of a building where they can control their view of the game world.
By tapping the “Jump” button the game trailer is launched with the main character jumping from the roof top. With this seamless emersion, the user was made to feel as though they themselves were jumping off the ledge and running through the game world.
A final ‘buy now’ button allowed users the go through to a purchase portal. The campaign ran for 4 weeks and provided an immersive experience for users to get a first-hand experience of the Assassin’s Creed Unity Game.
